Resorts World Theater to undergo renovation 2k8252 June 2025(PRESS RELEASE) -- AEG Presents Las Vegas and Resorts World Las Vegas have announced renovation plans for their premier performance venue, Resorts World Theatre, slated for Summer 2025. The venue will begin construction the first week of June 2025 and will reopen in early September, timed for resident headliner Janet Jackson’s return to JANET JACKSON: LAS VEGAS on 10 September 2025. Since opening in Dec. 2021, Resorts World Theatre has been home to numerous headliners including Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Michael Bublé, Kevin Hart, and Janet Jackson. The intimate theatre has been named the world’s #1 venue under 5,000 capacity on Billboard’s Annual Top Grossing Venues list two years in a row (2022 and 2023) and recognized by Billboard’s Top Music Venue’s List as the “Top Residency Venue” for two consecutive years in a row (2023 and 2024). The renovation plans for Resorts World Theatre grants the venue accommodations for more flexible seating configurations, including the development of a scalable floor to offer a general ission (GA) layout in front of the stage. In addition, expanded VIP offerings include a new VIP area with exclusive banquettes and beverage service. Details of the renovation include: - Scalable floor to offer additional content flexibility and multiple seated configurations - New VIP area with 67 VIP banquettes and beverage service - Updated capacity of 4,869 (GA with seated) and 4,561 (fully seated) “We are grateful to be able to offer guests an intimate, state-of-the-art venue to experience top-tier performances and unparalleled entertainment in Las Vegas,” says Bobby Reynolds, Senior Vice President of AEG Presents Las Vegas. “The added flexibility and VIP accommodations this renovation will bring, allow us to book even more world-class artists and special events, further cementing Resort World Theatre’s status as a leading entertainment venue on the Las Vegas Strip and globally.” Award-winning Montreal-based theater design firm, Scéno Plus, returns as the design and construction lead on the renovation. L’Acoustics remains the sound provider offering unmatched spatial audio experience through more than 200 L-Acoustics speakers powered by L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound technology.
